We just got back from our first morning photo shoot here in Moab, and had a great sunrise. We went to Mesa Arch today about 5:30 in the morning and were able to get some great locations to set up our cameras, as the arch is fairly small and can be packed with photographers trying to get their shots. One of the things that are attendees learned today was that the shot with the sun peeking over the horizon is great, but if you wait a few minutes and let the sun rise up into the top of the arch you can get, what I believe, is a better shot.
