Tonight we went out to Delicate Arch to capture it at sunset and also light paint it after dark. To get to Delicate Arch you have to walk about 45 min. to an hour up a hill, no it more like a mountain, to reach the area where you can photograph the arch. As it was a gorgeous evening and on the weekend there was a few other photographers up there with us. Jeff had locked his keys to his rental car inside the car, normally this would be a bad thing, but in this case it worked out for the best as Jeff was able to help up one of our attendees who was lagging behind a little bit and help her get to the top and the shot.
Like painting delicate arch was one of the highlights of this workshop. Having Dave show us his way of working with the lights to get the right effect was incredible. Each attendee was able to use the flashlights to make their own images and get the experience on this great technique.
Dave had suggested that maybe we try to photograph from a different angle, but was not sure that we would be able to get down there to do it. I decided to give it a try and see how hard it was to get down in the bowl underneath the arch. I think I made a few of our attendees a tad nervous as they watched me crawl down into the bowl. I made two great shots from there, but it was decided it was just too hard everyone to do the same.

cant wait to meet you on this trip, I love all your classes on kelbytraining.
